Privacy policy

Black Sheep Designs (“we”, “us”) is an apparel decorator in Nepean, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.blacksheepdesigns.ca, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Account details when you sign up: your name, email address, phone number and company name.
• Order details when you build a purchase order: the products, sizes and quantities, shipping and billing addresses, and any notes you add.
• Artwork and mockups you upload or create in our design tool, so we can quote and produce your order.
• Messages you send us, including suggestions, wholesale applications and emails.

We don’t take payment on this website, so we never see or store card or bank details here. We invoice you separately.

How we use it

• To quote, produce, ship and invoice your orders.
• To keep you updated by email about your order: goods received, ready for pickup, shipped with tracking.
• To manage your account and, for wholesale partners, your pricing.
• To answer your questions and improve our service.
• To keep the records the law requires, such as for tax.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t send you marketing emails unless you’ve asked for them.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run the business, and only what they need to do their part:

• Website and data hosting: Vercel (website), Supabase (accounts, orders and uploaded files) and Cloudflare (product images and our domain).
• Order management: Printavo, where we track and invoice your job.
• Email: Resend (emails the website sends) and Google Workspace (our team inboxes).
• Shipping: the carrier delivering your order, such as UPS, Purolator or Canada Post, which receives your name, shipping address and phone number.

Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to that country’s laws. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Cookies and your browser

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t run analytics that follow you around the web. Your browser keeps two things for us: your sign-in, so you stay logged in, and your unfinished purchase order, so it’s still there when you come back. Both stay on your device.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details for as long as your account is open. We keep order records, including invoices and shipping details, for seven years, as Canadian tax law requires. After that we delete them or make them anonymous.

Your choices

• See or correct your information. Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or tell us what’s wrong and we’ll fix it.
• Delete your account. Email us and we’ll delete your account and personal information, apart from the order records we’re required to keep.
• Withdraw your consent. You can ask us to stop using your information at any time. We may then be unable to fill new orders.

We’ll answer within 30 days.

How we protect it

Information travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to customer and order information is limited to the staff who need it, and accounts are protected by sign-in.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
